In Himachal Pradesh, on the hilly slopes of the Himalayas, there exists a quaint little hamlet that can match Switzerland in almost every aspect. Situated in the Chambal district, the Khajjiar hill station of Himachal Pradesh is a part of the Kalatop Khajjiar Sanctuary.
At appx 1900 m height from the sea level, it's a beautiful town with amazing visuals.
Khajjiar, often dubbed the Mini Switzerland of India, is a small hill station in the northern state of Himachal Pradesh. With a small-town vibe, fresh mountain air, and picturesque landscapes encompassing dense deodar forests, verdant meadows, and snowy mountains, it's a playground for adventurers, such as paragliding, and horse riding, etc.
Paragliding costs Rs 1500 for 3km & 2000 for 6 km, but the flight depends on the weight of the individual & the Air flow conditions. May be risky & dangerous if adverse conditions. Must take care and caution while Paragliding.
Khajjiar is about 95kms from Pathankot Railway Station and 130 km from the Gaggal Airport in the district Kangra. Khajjiar is famous for the popular Khajji Naga shrine dedicated to the serpent god from which the name is believed to have been derived.
