Nissan Safety Driving Forum !

Do you really think, we have any kind of safety on our roads in India. You may be a perfect driver but what’s about those who pay bribe to get a driving license ? 

Just check any of the drivers of trucks & other commercial vehicles on the road and most of those will be absolutely unfamiliar to the prescribed rules & regulations. And when drunk, there are a real nightmare on the roads.

Yeah ! it happened with a friend of mine. He was a reporter at a famous news channel. He used to move on his bike to shoot various news stories. We used to talk a dozen times daily. Even on that fateful day, we spoke just half an hour ago. Around 11 am, i got a call from another reporter of the channel. He asked me, Vohra saab, do you know about Ravi ji. I was just surprised and asked him, "what has happened". The reply was that he has met with an accident. It was shocking for me. I asked, "how is he now". The answer was, "he is no more".

OMG ! What a shock. I was trembling. It was a great jolt. I was shivering. I just took my car & rushed to the hospital & there he was, lying in a corner, on his death bed, packed in a white bag. Later the investigating officer informed us that he was hit by a Tempo traveller. It was really shocking.

But it does not mean, that we, the white colored persons don’t do mistakes. In anxiety, anger or when in joyous mood, we drive recklessly. Moreover, we give bikes to our teenagers who just wanna fly and these kids often give the biggest shock to the parents.

Ofcourse, road safety & etiquette is the responsibility of every driver, but we are not being taught about it. Instead we are being taught that we can pay bribe to get a license. We can pay bribe to skip a challan. We can pay bribe to get a vehicle passed. Than how & why, we will follow the rules on the road. It's a common saying that Rules are made so that these could be broken. If we could understand & remember the NSDF concept, "Safety begins with me", it can safe hundreds of lives on road every year.

The Nissan Motor Co. Ltd, through it's Nissan Safety Driving Forum ( NSDF ) wants to change the mindset of the masses. Under its Blue Citizenship CSR umbrella, NSDF is generating awareness in various cities of India for safe driving on roads as well to wear seat belts. Please click this link to know more about NSDF.

If Nissan, out of its Corporate Social Responsibility, could make a check on the licensing system prevailing in the country, it will be a boom for the road safety. It must come forward to check, that no license is issued against bribes or illegally. There must be real tests, stricter tests  and none, even with slightest default, could passthrough. It will save the lives of thousands of persons in the coming years.

Moreover, drunken driving must lead to permanent cancellation of a Driving license or atleast barred for 5 years so that one could self restrain from doing a drunken driving. 

Helmets are mandatory but we can view hundreds everyday without wearing it. Those without a helmet must be barred from driving a scooter or bike for atleast one year & from next day onwards, we won't find even a single person on the road without a helmet. Similarly, sub standard helmets must be banned.

Red light crossing, Tripple riding & non lane driving must get the same punishment i.e. barred from driving a vehicle for 12 months.

The Green Tribunal has banned the vehicles that are older than 15 years. This ban must be strictly followed. 

Moreover, the pollution certification must be strictly regulated. Even in Delhi, one can get a PUC certificate without getting the vehicle checked.

Nissan can also join hands with Bloggers, RWAs & NGOs to spread awareness on road safety.

And the last but not least, in case we find an accident victim on the road & if we take him / her to the hospital, there must not be any police enquiry & the Doctors must treat the victim immediately without any IF's & But's. In case they don't have the capability to treat, they must provide adequate first aid & provide ambulance for immediate shifting of the accident victim under medical supervision.

The Power of Voice to Clean India !

The voice really has a great power & the voice of people, hundreds & thousands of people can change everything. It can make a big impact on the authorities. It can convert into a vote bank & can change the entire political system.

But the problem is that we don’t want to use the power of voice. We don’t want to raise the issues, even if they hurt us a lot. We want to remain the silent spectators & expect others to come forward & do something.

We are not at all bothered even for the cleanliness of the areas where we live, where we work, where from we move. Just check around yourself & you will understand the gravity of the situation.

When you come out of your home, don’t you find the dirty roads & dirty drains ? When you go to the Govt. offices, don’t you find the dirty Toilets & dirty corners ? When you go to a park, don’t you find dirty & dead leaves.

Don’t you get dirty water in your tap ? Don’t you suffer from the dirty waterlogging during rains ? Don’t you feel the pinch of dirty polluted air that enters your lungs & makes you sick ? And don’t you know that whatever you eat is covered with dirty colours ?

When you go to authorities to get your work done, don’t you find some dirty persons, always looking for bribes ? When you go to cast your vote, don’t you find some dirty leaders out of the list of criminals ?

We are not at all bothered even for the cleanliness of our administrative system. Just that’s the reason that the Income Tax authorities could dig over a thousand crores from the coffers of a chief engineer in Noida.

Than i proceeded for the Android on my smart phone that was not apple. The first line said that : Google do not permit reward based games on Play Store even if they are free to play. If you have not permitted apps to be downloaded from places other than Google Play, please follow the steps below. The first thought that struck my mind was that is it illegal ? is it a lottery based game ? Is it connected to Gambling in any way because even Google do not permit this kind of games on it's network ?

I again checked the THOUGHT STARTERS FOR YOUR BLOG POST. It clearly exhibited the line : How the game could revolutionise lottery in India. Does it mean that if we upload any post on our blog, we will be promoting Lottery in India ? Does it mean Lottery is now being promoted by the Indibloggers in India ?

Just tried to check the related regulations. The Lotteries Regulation Act of 1998. There were clauses, clauses & clauses everywhere. But one of the clause clearly mentioned that Where an offence under this Act has been committed by a company, every person non-bailable who at the time the offence was committed was incharge of, and was responsible to, the company offences by for the conduct of the business of the company, as well as the company, shall be deemed to be companies guilty of the offence and shall be liable to be proceeded against and punished accordingly.

Shocking. Don't know what the rules say if the Gaming is Free. Don't know what's the truth behind this Fat Cat Game. But one thing is quite sure that it's just promoting Lottery in India and we, being the proud Indians, proud Indibloggers, can not be a part of it. We in no way can be a part of any such promotional campaign that offers big cash amounts & which is just speculatory in nature.

Therefore, i decided to not the download the app, not to play the game & not to wait for the huge gains offered by the SHM Entertainment ltd. Let them show the official validation of this game from the Government of India under the concerned ministry & only after that we will download this App.

Why we don't have proper sanitation in our villages ?

Defacating in the open is a normal view in the villages as they don't have a toilet in the homes. But the shocking thing is that even in the big cities, even in the metro cities or even in the national capital, there are many who are regularly defacating in the open. If you can't believe :

It's true that most of the houses in the lower colonies of cities don't have a Toilet in their homes and they are forced to defacate in the open before its dawn. But the shocking fact is that, due to lack of awareness from the Govt agencies, no body has cared for it since years. It's not just that they don't have a Loo in their homes, but it is a pity that they don't have even proper education to understand the gravity of the situation.

The situation is even worst in villages. With no sanitation facilities, with no information on the term HYGIENE, with no drainage systems, with lack of water everywhere, in the absence of primary schools for the education of childrens, life has become a hell. 

The present Govt has shown great interest in it. The Swach bharat yojna & the next awareness campaign on having a LOO in the homes will definitely make an impact on the minds of persons living in the villages as well in the low lying colonies of big cities.

Govt must offer money for making Toilets in the villages so that the residents could get a better life. Govt must make Public toilets in villages with all the neat & clean facilities so that the persons living there could change their habit of defacating in the open.

A HEALTHY CHILD MAKES A HAPPY HOME !

We are the proud parents. We try our best to offer the quality food & education to our kids. But being the working parents we don't have much time for them. Most of us have to leave for our job in the morning & we are back only by evening and that too very tired.

Being nuclear families, we generally don't have anyone behind to take care of our kids and therefore we appoint a maid to take care of the child.   

This lack of attention to the kids makes them vulnerable. They eat what ever they like. They prefer the Junk food, be it a Pizza or Burger alongwith Soft drinks & Ice cream.

They don't go for playing in the ground, instead, they play on computers. They don't talk to the friends, face to face, instead they chat amongst themselves.

And the outcome is obese kids with specs on eyes with no control on BMI. Kids get severe problems such as Sugar & High Blood pressure. And in such a situation, we are forced to leave our business or job & look after the child. It transforms the so called happy home into a troubled home.

It’s a real story of one of my close friend. Now his wife has left her job & she is now looking after the kid carefully. But don’t you think that they are facing this situation for their own mistakes ?

In my opinion, if we have given birth to a child, it is solely our responsibility to look after them & to make them healthy & wise. In case we don’t have much time, still we can keep an eye on their habits. We can keep a check on their diet. Atleast on Sundays & holidays, we can pass the day with them & understand their problems & issues.

We can go for regular check ups with the family doctor so that we don’t have to face such a bad situation. We can encourage them to go to the ground & play with friends. We can offer them supplementary nutrients to maintain vital vitamins. Instead of checking the status on social network, we can keep an eye on their Report card to check the actual status.

Obesity & lack of vital vitamins are bad for the child. It not only slows the growth but also effects the mental ability & physical capability of the child.
