OYO rooms, the budget rooms at the best locations !

#OYOxplorer

Whenever we have to move out of our home for some business purpose or for vacation with family, the only problem we face is the availability of a quality room at a reasonable price. Moreover, the mobile network is generally not available, making our smartphone, of no use.

I remember the situation when we were on the trip of Manikaran Sahib, Kullu, Manali & Rohtang. We reached Manali by car at around 8 pm and it was already very dark. Most of the hotels had exhibited the sign boards stating no rooms available or if available, they were asking for double  the tariff. We faced the same situation at Madgaon and at many other places.

Therefore, when I heard about the OYO rooms, I was very much excited as OYO was offering quality rooms with breakfast & wi-fi at very reasonable price. Have you heard about the OYO rooms which is said to be the largest branded network of hotels in India and that too with budget rooms starting at just Rs 999 /- with free wi-fi and breakfast.

They have the availability of OYO rooms in Goa, Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Noida, Jaipur, Manesar, Tirupati, Ghaziabad, Neemrana, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Pune, Varanasi & Ahmedabad.

We can book a room very easily from their website. Moreover, if we want the lightning fast booking, anywhere, any time, we can download the OYO App from App Store as well Google Play.

Being a Delhiite, I decided to explore the so called OYO rooms at Rs 999/- in our city. I just checked their website and was surprised to find that OYO rooms were available in various parts of the city, that included :  Paharganj, Karol Bagh, Greater Kailash, New Delhi Railway Station, Green Park, Indira Gandhi Airport, New Friends Colony, Kalkaji, Lajpat Nagar, Nehru Place, Connaught Place, Saket with the options of Standard, Premium and women exclusive.

It seemed quite interesting as many of these were the prime locations and a budget room at just Rs 999 with free breakfast & Wi-fi was impossible. Therefore, I continued my search on their website.

I spent substantial time on their website and clicked almost all of the above locations for a Standard room, and truly, OYO rooms were available at many locations at Rs 799/- and 999/- though the range included higher prices also i.e. 1099/-, 1299/-, 1399/-, 1699/-, 1999/- and more.

So one thing is sure and certain, that a budget OYO room  is really available at various locations at the best prices and therefore, now onwards, i will opt only the OYO rooms. If you still have any doubt, please feel free to check yourself. Just log on to their website & try an OYO room at your preferred location & don't be shocked, when you really get an OYO room booking at the budget price, at the click of your mouse.

Enjoy the best street food at a road side Dhaba !

Parantha is a famous food of Delhi & Punjab and almost everyone of us like to eat Paranthas & that too stuffed with Aloo, Aloo Pyaj as well Egg. Its regularly cooked in our kitchen at our home as a morning breakfast. When out of Delhi, we prefer to eat it, as its time saving.

There are many sources where you can go and have it. ‘Ahuja Number 1’ at Sonipat and ‘Fauji Dhaba’ at Karnal bypass are the most famous ones though many new hotels with Star ratings have come up on this stretch of GT Road such as ‘Haveli’. But today I am writing about the Pranthas of Mool Chand at Delhi itself.

Yeah ! I was quite unknown about this roadside eatery shop. Once I read about it in one of the newspaper & decided to go there to have its taste.

It was a small Dhaba type on the corner of a road just opposite the mool chand metro station. It was around 6 pm in the evening and I was surprised to find a large number of cars parked here and there & the Paranthas were being served in the car itself.

We parked our car & decided to place the order. Within minutes a young man was standing in front of us, to book the order. We asked for Aloo Parantha as well Aloo pyaj parantha.

Within 5 minutes we had the same in our car with Parantha in a paper plate with chutney, pyaj & green mirch. We asked for Rayta & butter & he brought the same in the split of a second.

Though we are regular eaters of stuffed paranthas & we have tried it at many places, including Five star hotels of Delhi. But the taste of parantha here was a bit different. It was crispy and very tasty.

Soon we finished it and ordered the Egg Parantha. We have tried the same at the ITO also where the shop opens after 10 pm and that too for two hours only for the vendors of newspapers. The egg parantha at Mool Chand looked good & again very crispy & tasty.

As we really enjoyed the Paranthas at Mool Chand, i asked about the history of this Dhaba & how it became so famous. I was told by the person in charge, Vijay, that it was opened in the year 1975 and the owner was  Ram Lal Thakkar.

I was told that they have regular customers from every part of Delhi & many top celebrities also visit the road side Dhaba to have the stuffed parantha. It has become so famous that it has been covered by almost all the newspapers. We were told that if we are there after 8 pm, we have to wait for much longer duration to enjoy the food due to heavy rush there.

We too liked the Road Side food, though it was not that much hygienic as we prefer to eat. But once in a month, we can definitely come here to enjoy it. If you have not yet visited this road side open air Dhaba, for the best street food, plz visit once & have the taste of Delhiites, Desi Food.

RWABhagidari - COAI meet on Mobile Tower Radiation !

My Mom – the first expert of my life, till her death !

 #myfirstexpert story !

It was 15th October, 2014. At around 3 pm I got a call from my younger brother that our mother was not well and she was being shifted to a nearby hospital. On reaching there I found her in ICU with her left side absolutely numb, without any movement and while speaking she was fumbling. Doctors present there at Vaishali hospital told that once she is stable, we will go for an MRI.

A senior doctor visited that private hospital after almost four hours and within minute alarm bells were sounded by him. We were told that she was at a critical stage and must be shifted to other hospital immediately. We rushed her to  a  bigger hospital in Delhi and after an immediate MRI, we were told that a major part of her brain was dead & there was no hope of her survival as she had a brain stroke.

We all were shocked. It was quite unexpected. We were shivering out of fear. We waited at the gates of ICU for three days while praying to the God almighty for her good health. But on 18th October at around 11.30 am she expired. We took her to our home, but due to such a big shock, we had become so dumb that we knew nothing that what was to be done next.

Till she was alive, she was our first expert. We used to ask everything from her. We used to discuss everything with her. But the things were quite different on that day. She was on her death bed, lying silently in front of us. I wanted to ask her about her last rites. I even asked a lot through my mind and heart. But she was absolutely silent. She did not utter even a single word. I just cried, cried & cried, but probably this was the first time, she was not answering. I looked absolutely helpless in the absence of my first expert.

Anyhow, we did everything that we had learned from her in the early days, but probably for the first time, without her consultations. Till date, we cry at least once a day. We miss her a lot. We will always miss her a lot as she was our mother. She was our First expert. She taught us how to speak, how to eat, how to walk, how to write, how to smile, how to laugh and her last lesson taught us that how to cry.

Almost seven months have passed, but there is not even a single day when her memories Are not there in our mind. Even now she is very much alive in our thoughts, in our heart, in our mind, in our brain. On the very first day after her death, she came to us in our dreams and asked us to not to let her go. She even cried as she was not intending to go elsewhere. But we were helpless. We had no options. We asked her to stay in our hearts & asked her to visit us regularly in our dreams. And till date, there is not even a  single night when she is not with us in our sweet dreams.

Our first expert was really very sweet, very cute, polite, soft spoken and a very well educated lady. She was always there whenever and wherever we expected her. A teacher, philosopher  and a true guide. She even helped my kids to come up with a better way. She acted as a mediator in case we had any interaction with our father. She acted as a big shield to save us from the entire world. But we could do nothing to save her from the cruel hands of destiny as the Doctors at the Vaishali Hospital were responsible for her death as they were absolutely negligent.

As my mom was my first expert, Godrej is also a first expert & you can check it at  http://godrejexpert.com/single_used_pack.php
